I've always done a bit o wirin'. My experienece is that the worst wiring on the planet is always found on sailing yachts. The myth that those with yachts have loadsa money is bolix. Cos most yotties haven't a preverbial pot to get taken short in, they will alwasy have a crack at anything. The older the yacht, the more abuse they have suffered from the hands of those that have greater enthusiasm than knowledge.
Wiring is easy as long as you know the basics. The first rule is never, ever, ever use those fak aweful pre-insulated terminal/spade/bullet thangs they punt to the unwary in auto shops.
I would be very happy to give you a hand with wiring yer zed Mark, an I reckon I could get you to be a confident bike wiring fellow in no time

Give me a shout when you're ready to crack on with it. If you're loom is burgered , maybe it might pay us to build two together. Everything worked on my bike ... but for how long? She had popped a couple of fuses with no obvious reason and after seeing the state of the dynamo cabling I think it might be sensible to think that thirty years is a long time for wiring in a harsh environment

Unless others know of more zed specific suppliers, I have always found Vehicle Wiring Products to give great service and seem to keep loads of stuff including Japanese bullets which are differ from regular ones.
Best go to bed as have to do real work tomorrow
