meter bracket foam

#1 PostAuthor: Richard Q » Wed Feb 11, 2015 8:59 pm

When removing the clocks from their bracket, I noticed the remainder of a foam gasket material, some stuck the bracket, some to the clocks.

I take it is was there for damping, so I was going to replace it. Thing is though, I have no idea how thick it should be.

Any help ? :D :D

I have some 3.5mm thick self adhesive foam, and some 10mm.

The foam is called Toshiba and it is 6mm thick.
I bought some thinner foam recently from ebay which was the same.

Cheers chaps :D

I think I'll just double up the stuff I have and use 7mm then. 1mm wont make any difference and its quite soft anyway. It's close cell as well so won't hold any water.
