Early 72 Z1 front forks.

#1 PostAuthor: nilmoz1 » Fri Jan 30, 2015 1:56 pm

Anyone got a set of the correct early front forks for 72 Z1 ?
These were mounted on the early frame numbers.
I know they are rare but always worth a try :-)

Appreciate if anyone can help.

i have seen several 73 up to frame no. 8000 with these forks so they are not just 72 parts. friend of mine have two 78.. frame number 73 bikes (one owner from new), both with this forks.

The mounting lugs were "more substantial" on the later slides.

There were many breaking off in service in the day, thus why Big K were rapid at implementing the bulkier modified ones.
