Painting Cast Wheels

#1 PostAuthor: nicomkii » Tue Jan 27, 2015 10:58 pm

Couldn't find anything with search on painting the MkII cast wheels in Ye Ol Forum. I am after a close to original finish on my wheels, has anyone had any success with finding the right colour match. Its definitely not gloss ( and that looks just plain wrong), doesn't appear to be matt either and a confusing shade of black. This one is on Fleabay at the moment and does appear to be original paint. Who isn't colourblind like me and can point me in the right direction ?
I was going to powder coat them but have changed my mind and going for either a rattle can or spray finish once i find the right colour.

Ok to finish off the original question for future generations I can say I am very very impressed with Wurths Satin Black. An absolute dead ringer for originality, thanks heaps Z1BMan :up :beer
