Starter gas and boosters?

#1 PostAuthor: malmojoe » Mon Jan 12, 2015 11:23 am

I saw someone spray starter gas in a bike that wouldn't start and up it fired straight away. It was ether I think. Do they sell it in the UK or is it banned like most things here ?
Also, is it ok to use those booster things to jump start a bike rather than pulling off and charging the battery? What's a good one to get?

Used a few times i doubt if any harm would come of using easy start using it all the time, not a good idea, have heard of bore washing and other issues, have seen it start motors that were really low on compression though, best to sort out why problems are there with starting, always used an old car battery and jump leads when needed again best to use opitmate or similar..

Thanks all. Very helpful and that can made me laugh. Just want to use it for initial checks of bikes that have been left standing a while.
