I had a piper on my kh250 back in the early eighties it was matt black and robbed the bike of 10mph in fact my mates rd125 was quicker :sf

My Alfa after about a week of no quarter went rather silent and the bike seemed lethargic, I took the baffle out and threw away some rock wool type stuff and cut a third off of the baffle, I then gave it a damn good thrashing and two of my mates with 750`s couldn't get in front, that was on standard jets and air box.

nowt wrong with an alpha, my st had one on standard jets and airbox and it flew, sounded great too with half a baffle. good luck in your search.

I liked that it was on the left as there was a winging old git on a bi-cycle in our village called Flapper, we used to pull the clutch in behind him free wheel up and give him a blast, me and a mates Z750 twin had left hand pipes and were quite effective ! :lol:

I have an Alpha on one of Z1A's.
I love them and Pipers.

Why the hell doesn't someone remake them?
