engine removal

Can anybody help.
I'm try to remove the engine on my GPZ 1100 B1.
Everythings has come to bitz no probleme apart from the front lower mounting bolt. I've tried drowning it in penitrating oil, jacking it up to take the waight of it , even smaking seven bells of crap out of the bloody thing.
It turns but just wont come out.
Any sugestions will be gratefully recieved.

Heat and lots of it. If you have access to an oxy-acetylene equipment that should do it.

Failing that maybe a gas torch from Machine Mart outlets.



Have a bucket of water standing by though.

Failing that then maybe a hacksaw then drift the mounting pin out once the engine is out.

If that fails. centre dab the mounting pin head and drill out incrementally

If you have access to a stick welder then weld a nut to it through the centre this usually generates enough heat to free most things.

I have been down this road last summer on my Lawson. I soaked it in wd40, penetrating oil an even tried out of desperation engine oil and then set light to it. I tried using a gas torch on it and even tried burning the rubbers out all to no avail.

What did eventually work was a dremmel. Using the dremmel i cut the bolt in two in the little recess in the middle of the engine. tehn using the dremmel again i had to grind the ends off the bolt then it came out.

I was lucky that i managed to get another bolt for about 50p from Seastar's.

If you keep banging away at the bolt with a lump hammer you will bend the mounting bracket on the frame. The only thing that would fit in the recess was the dremil there just is'nt enough room to get a grinder in there.

i had a similar problem on my lawson,a hand held hacksaw blade was my only option,took awhile but got there in the end.
