I am looking for a decent head to get refurbished for my 1984 Eddie Lawson Replica. I will then put it on once done.
They are hard to come by as the Elr's are a bit scarce but apparently a head from a z1000J 81 onwards will fit. I could stand corrected though.
Cheers
Stu

Hi Stu,the 1000J head is the same as the R2 but the R2 has different cams with more lift.
As long as you've got the cams then happy days
Basically any U.K. J type head will do,suzh as J1,J2/J3,the K1/K2 LTD and the Z1100 Shaft.
You can also use a GPz1100 B1/B2 but the B1 head will need the fuel injection inlets blanking off.
The GPz1100B2 is the same head as the Z1000R2.
The American heads off the KZ models have emission bollox in the cam cover but this can be blanked off.
