Those are not annodised blue discs on Brians' bike they are blue from over-heating. The last of the great late brakers!!!

No its very much alive with very expensive stuff scattered about the place which you must not run into.
Someone did slide into a runway light at the September one and ripped it off its mountings.
There are several special lights that cost £10,000 each too!!!
The mock up is for fire practice and you can see by the rust that it never flew, nor would it!

The Farmer next door cuts the grass which i expect is like painting the Fourth Road Bridge; never ending.
Whilst youre there some occasional flights go in and out and they just hold you back for a few minutes.
The committee / organisers are the pilots / officers / staff and other interested parties.
They also ride on the Airfield days in rotation. Its an extraordinary set-up and naturally, extremely well provided for and brilliantly organised.
