Z1100R - Front Calipers

#1 PostAuthor: Jumbo » Sat Sep 27, 2014 11:26 am

I am in the process of rebuilding the front brakes. I stripped the calipers mainly to paint the bodies but noted that the pistons were already pitted after a short time. I have gone for stainless pistons but they have come without the plastic piston that fits inside the piston. The question is do I really need that part, it can't really be pushing the pad as it is plastic.

most of the modern brakes don't have them so they should be fine
