Carb Choke Tube Missing

#1 PostAuthor: wheelysteve » Tue Sep 09, 2014 10:43 am

Hi, I am overhauling my carbs from a Z1B and on removing the float bowl on carb no4 found the brass choke tube thingy missing! Does anyone have a spare or know where I can get one for a few drinking vouchers?

I presume these are an interference fit…how much heat/brute force is required to get them in? Thanks

Wheely' that's a hard one!
I would look for a damaged set of carbs from a Z1 through to Z1000, perhaps, even another brand name that uses these Mikuni carbs, around the same era.

The bike will run with one of these tubes out and it should only effect the starting (choke) circuit.
