Ta GB,

I did a bit of research before the engine came over and have saved a few bob in taxes by saying it was originally mine and has just been reconditioned.

The plot thickens!
Due to Joe putting an insurance value on the paperwork of $2,000 customs not want to charge me 10% of that on top of the other charges + I have to pay GST (VAT) on the whole lot!
I spoke to a very nice lady at Customs and she let me know that if I can provide PayPal receipts for the cylinder head and block and get Joe to resend the commercial invoice with the value of $258.71 US then Customs would not charge me due to the item being less than $1000 :D

Result, good job I'm not selling this project!

Recently I ask international sellers to put:

OLD MOTORCYCLE PARTS

on the description - well its acurate as thats what the parts will be used for - and I've had some success alleviating TAX charges
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Well I have my engine here and what a bloody nightmare!
Customs were going to charge me 10% of the value! Joe had put $2000 insurance value. I managed to produce the two invoices from PayPal for the head and barrels that totalled $251 so in the end I got away with it :D
Couldn't get away with paying $552 for import duty, AQIS fee's! Yep, I was charged over $200 for someone to inspect the package!

Anyway, I'm bowled over by the motor, even the wife (who is from St Helens and has no class) thinks it looks lovely!

I'll post some pictures in the morning as well as post Joes running in guide which is an eye opener

So, being in Brisbane I think I should fit an oil cooler!
Anyone got any suggestions?
I have a cooler from a GPz1100 but will need the hoses and adaptors, think I've answered my own question there! Just buy the adaptors and hoses

The GPZ1100 oil cooler may be a little small.

13 row would be better.

I would use a 10 or 13 row full width cooler which can be had off ebay cheap and modify a spare oil pressure switch with some brass fittings for the take offs.
Pictures of how to do that are in my road racer project thread (Page 10)

These are the coolers I use.
They are the same as earls/goodridge ect but are around half the price as you aren't paying for the name.
