Conclusion is - buy some new ones.

Not sure who is cheapest for them, but suspect it will be Z1 Enterprises.

If you soak them in Acetone for a few hours they will go all soft and rubbery again for a few weeks

Buy new ones for christ's sake.....it'll save a lot of hassle and stress in the long run....they are not expensive.
