Can anyone advise me on sorting out the anti-dive pipes , the ones that go from the splitter behind the upper fork leg to the top of the anti-dive unit on the front lower part of the fork leg ?
I am sure that i read somewhere that they could be changed to hoses ?
But i went to my local hose place where they make all that type of stuff and he could not find anything suitable ?

The bike at present runs re-built anti-dive units and i have progressive fork springs as well ,it works really well But one of my anti-dive tops has a slight weep from where the bleed nipple goes in ,so over time the brake lever gets a bit `spongy`,however "Gus" from this forum sent me 2 old tops but they have a slight angle on them and i do not want to bend the old original pipes to much in-case they fracture !!steve.w wrote:never heard of em being done in braided ..but may be possible ,,why ya wanna change them ??? most people just bypass them ??
I know you can blank the anti-dive units off ,but you need plates made with a groove machined in them ?
ideally i would like to keep the anti-dive all working correctly ?

Hiya, yes it can be done I've worked out how to do it, I was going to do my gpz1000rx in braided, but the anti- dive pipes aren't so bad so I've re-used them, but here's how to do it. There are two ends an if I can remember your model has a concave & convex fitting arrangement, it is a long time ago since I had mine, the RX has convex each end, use venhill fittings to create male ends then carefully measure what length you need and get it made by venhill, go onto venhills own website and bloody great!! it can all be done in stainless yep goodridge do make them but not the bits you need in stainless just plated steel(Crap). So I hope this helps you out, I now make up my own Gauge pipes for pressure washers and they look really good. Hope this helps coz them anti-dive pipes are a deleted part, and yes if you plate them over you need to engrave grooves or else you'll have rock hard forks!!!
