Kawasaki still do the original ELR Green in touch up form and it would be easy to get a paint supplier to make some up.

Do any of you have a bigger version, or better picture of this bike, that I can use to get some graphics made up from.

Thanks for the link....

Next question then....
Oil pressure switch, I can't find it, so taking into consideration that my motor is actually an 84 model year, and not a B1 or B2, would the pressure switch be located in a different place, and not on top of the oil cooler pipe block?

Kev,as far as i know it's in the same place as B1/B2 and J models.Full info in the base B1/B2 workshop manuals i'd imagine.
Kev,i've listed some uni-trak electrical components on ebay if you're anything for your bike.My sellers name is brokemyneck.

Right another question (I am sorry but who else am I going to ask)

Fuel Tanks,,,,

This is the look I want, and as you can see the tank is much rounder than a GPz1100-B model tank, in fact it is more like a Z650 tank, so would a Z650 tank fit? I know it would need a hole for the fuel gauge underneath, but are there other differences? do any of you have a picture of the underside of a B1 tank?

Kev,the tank on the Works racer is a U.S.spec Z1000J1 tank.
The underneath of the B1 is the same as a U.K.spec Z1000J tank but also has the return for the fuel injection.
Try ebay.com for an American Z1000J1 petrol tank.

Oil pressure switch - ZX1100 A2 it may be on the sump pan underneath the gearbox sprocket. Have a look on http://www.buykawasaki.com/ under "owner info" at the parts book for 1984, the breather cover/oil pan section shows it there.

That's another pint you owe me!

okely dokely peeps, lets carry on with this meander through the backwoods of my bike.
I opened her up today, well just a little, to see what lies within, and this is the answer...

So is this a good thing to find or a bad thing? and is this a standard Kwaka part, and if so, do we know what Ohms Dyna coils work best with such a beast?

While I was down there looking, I also took some shots of where I think the oil pressure switch should be, but as you can see it aint!

Can someone tell me what the bit is at the top of the picture above the oilway?

And while we are down here, I still have the fuel pump fitted, but obviously not connected, so it will be removed soon, now I am not sure if it works, but it is free if any of you would like it, when it is removed.

Kev, If your looking for ideas to build a replica, how about this....

http://www.supershowevents.com/magazine ... 3hind.html

There are plenty of ELR's about but not many of these perhaps?
