Another excellent weekend
Sam, as always, was a total star!
As per, we all rocked up on the best bikes ever created, drank loads, ate loads, talked shite and laughed a lot!
CB and myself brought Gary Ward (Wardy) along to introduce him to the dark side of life
I took a few random snaps as for once I remembered my camera ... pity I didn't think to charge the fecking battery
We start with the arrival of the Bear on his very pretty 'Toast Rack' !
The Bear ready for action
Nice Z1
Mr Geoffrey Parr mid afternoon - he didn't look this good later
Gary Ward having a Guinness moment ...
... he was complaining he was still hungry after dinner, so had a pudding and the complained he was stuffed ....
Mr Becker looking suitably shocked at Gary's tale about a pint glass of beer +
Common decency doesn't allow me to repeat it on here
Mr Parr, however, did follow it up with a similarly vile story of a gurlie being cured of the habit of 'mine sweeping' (for those not in the know, and I wasn't, this is an antisocial habit of circulating a pub drinking poorly guarded drinks)
Geoff 'posing' for a photo
PJ feeling 'comfortably numb'
Wardy being resistive to a photo ...
.... by this point he was quite 'tired and emotional
... unlike Geoff ... who was totally bolloxed ... or in 'Safe Mode' as he described it

Big Big thanks you to everyone who got off their arses and made it to the Lode last weekend, what a beautiful weekend with errr (beautiful maybe not) superb like minded people,
Thanks to Simon (Coldsummer) for turning up and saying hi - thanks matey, to many people to mention individually but you know who you are, some great bikes, Vince your Z1 please don't restore it - it's a peach, some standard, modded, shiny, dirty (My Harris) and whatever fell in between.
Pics Later
The company was fantastic even with Ralph scaring the old folk at breakfast with his volume and swearing!!
This is what the club is about, meeting up, having a beer, talking crap and then doing it again and again.
The late Summer Ball is booked for the 6th September, Three rooms have been booked but there are some still available or camping if you so wish, if you want a room please speak to Sam and she will want a deposit - too many people booked them this time and then cancelled, however a big thank you from Sam and myself to Bill Newman who cancelled then phoned Sam and paid for his room - thanks Bill that really really helped and Sam has not had that happen in all the years she has been there.
See you all at Blackpool
