Side Stand

#1 PostAuthor: Wayne1960 » Fri May 16, 2014 6:29 am

Side stand fitted but when it comes back to its rest position it misses the rubber stop on the exhaust. If I push it over it will hit but comes back under the tension of the spring.
There is lateral movement which I would expect.
Any ideas?
Just purchased a 1976 UK Z900 A4 for renovation. Wish me luck.
Bike now finished what a joy!

I would guess there is wear/play on either the bolt and/or the hole it fits through on the frame.
Why do I persist in debating with idiots ? I really should know better :)

It looks perfectly fine and it wasn't until i fitted the exhaust i realized there was a problem!
Ill have to take the bolt out and have a look at it and the hole.
