The bike in front is a Kawasaki!!

Pictures if you've gone for a nice run out and Zed spotting.

Went to try the bikes and do some shakedown runs on the trackday bikes.
My mate took his 1085GS1000S.

Never happy with them, I did'nt post them as some on here would laugh

But the gearing was wrong and would need changing to improve the times. (and the rider needs to slim down a tad!!!  )

Actually did two runs against the GS on the GPZ and it was 5-6 mph quicker than the gs through the lights every time.
I even managed a solo run on the GSXR750 That pipped the GS by 1mph at the top end and both mine are geared for race track use.

The only run I lost on was when I was on my GSXR 750 against a GPZ900 Drag bike!

I can live with that. :!:

The gpz 900 was interesting and owned by a nice guy called Richard, it had been lowered with 17 dymag front and zzr rear wheels, washing machine pump replacing the water pump, which saved weight and was worth 1.5hp.
In all a nice cheap fun dragbike.

The idea of the day was to just road test the bikes, but this drag strip malarkey is strangely addictive. The only thing spoiling the day was they kept the bikes waiting in a separate line whilst some of the cars had two runs to our one.

They should make everyone join the same queue and it would be fair then!
