Engine mounts

#1 PostAuthor: Wayne1960 » Sun Mar 30, 2014 8:59 pm

Got the engine back in the frame today. Everything fitted ok but one observation was how close the sump is to the frame on the left. Is that how it should be? If not what could be wrong when it seem to fit ok!
Just purchased a 1976 UK Z900 A4 for renovation. Wish me luck.

Also the bottom back bolt is shanked and the shank protrudes past the mount by a good 20mm should there be washers? Just had another look and the engine is as good as touching.

I haven't put the spacers in on the upper mounts yet just bolted up the front and the 2 on the bottom of the frame. Pushed the other rear ones in but not bolted up yet.

the engine is close to the frame on the l/h side but you need to tighten all the mounting bolts & make sure you have the engine spacers in the wright positions before you decide to panic

I have the spacers and they will probably work but they look like they have been made from an old steel bolt.

Does anyone know the correct lengths for these and if they are availble to buy?
