Running lights

Before I delv in to my electrics.
My USA 73 Z1 has the rear light on permanantly is this correct ?

Don't think so???

Mine is a US bike.
It has off and on for the lights. Right switch gear.
Main and dip. Left switch gear.

No side light inside headlamp.

It has been YEARS since I looked at it!!!!!!!
But from memory that's what I have??

Mine is a 1976 US bike and doesn't have any lights on permanently i.e with ignition on.

It is 38 years old though, so could have been modified somewhere along the way
