Headlight bulb/lamp

#1 PostAuthor: Wayne1960 » Fri Mar 28, 2014 9:07 am

I have purchased 2 front headlight bulbs and neither of them fit into the lense. can anyone advise where i can pick up a lamp/bulb to the original specification or the newer alternative.
Just purchased a 1976 UK Z900 A4 for renovation. Wish me luck.

Thanks Z1 i think that's where i am going wrong in thinking the light itself was original.

It has the larger throat that accepts the halogen style base and has a clip that goes over the top of the lamp to secure it in place.

i thought this was the original.

guys i cant upload pics yet. i have looked at the samples and they look very similar to the what I've been looking at.

H4 is on the glass so i'm guessing this could be the lamp style so i will look at that.

I've seen a H4 conversion for a "conventional" tungsten bulb holder, but never a conventional tungsten bulb with a H4 fitting???
