take the battery to your local kwik fit or tyre store they should have battery acid in their workshops

I'm not sure now it even came with it. Anyway managed to get some at the weekend and battery fully charged.
Should there be a rubber strap that goes over the battery to hold it down. looked on parts catalogue and nothing!

I would have thrown the battery away as well,the amount of exhausts i have seen ruined when the good old voltage regulator goes faulty and boils the battery depositing the acid on the exhausts,fit a Gel one,just my opinion!!!

it is just a metal bracket that hold the battery secure
