Z900 Carb vacuum adjustment

#1 PostAuthor: Mowjoe » Sun Mar 02, 2014 10:45 am

On the 900-A4 26mm carbs the adjustment is on a screw with lock nut under the top cover according to a you tube vid. Do I have to touch the hex screw that has a tab washer securing it? My hayne manual suggests adjustment is on screws between the carbs but I think that is for Z1 28mm carbs??

Any wisdom appreciated!!

Hi on the a4 you are correct its the screw under the top covers, much better than the earlier bikes, just loosen each of the small nuts and use a long slotted driver to adjust, see how the balance is b4 u start,i would check mix as well with a Gunsons b4 u start..Paul J

You can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter

Thanks, you reassured me, I'm going in!

Fitted the Dyna S yesterday and have checked float heights and colortuned mixtures although still a little rich it seems. I'll check plug colours again after a blat down the by pass (as they say!)

Thanks MJ
