From the ZPOWER history section:

The fist model Z1000R1 was intended for America only and differed from the European models by having a genuine KERKER 4-1 black exhaust system. It came in one colour of course: Kawasaki Lime Green.

Z1000R2 1983

FRAME NUMBER: KZT00R-001101 ONWARDS

ENGINE NUMBER: KZT00JE-039301 ONWARDS

Its a LAWSON

I think the inlet cams should different for the ELR. They are the same as B1/B2.

after a second look, it's hard to say, there are 2 part numbers for the inlet cams:
12044-1031 - appears on J1-3, ELR and B1/2 parts list, but that may just be so that the microfiche can be used for both.

12044-1037 - appears on R1/2 and B1/2, so I reckon that's the ELR one.

I'm sure I saw something on here about this before.
