Gents.
If fitting a one piece gasket - Is it necessary to fit the cam tunnel seal ??

Nope but fill in the gap with high temp silicone sealer first

I have seen some guys fill them as Christu says and then let them cure for a day or so, afterwhich, they trim carefully with a razor blade.
