Z1100R PROJECT HELP NEEDED
i am new to this club and would appriciate some help, just purchased an original 1983 1100r and its going to get a revamp with zrx 1200 front and back end ( i have a full donor bike )has any one fitted a swing arm into this frame and also the front end ie top and bottom yokes into the headstock.i have heard that a zx10b model front sprocket is offset enough for the chain alighnment is this correct..cheers richy
front end goes straight in,the 1100r and ZRX use the same bearings, the swingarm fits, you will need to use the elr swingarm shaft and use a sleeve so it fits the bigger i.d bearings fitted to the zrx arm.
I've tried a lot of different front sprockets, the zrx will fit, from memory I think the one I have now is zzr1100 to give me std ELR teeth (15) as I couldnt find a 15t for the ZRX,I have an approx 10mm spacer behind the front sprocket to line up with rear.
