Kev this might give you a better idea of how they look
Kev what type of drive have you got for the speedo on your bike, cable or electronic,as there are also two types on the J,ask Jack whats what before you buy.The ELR R1 had the same type of clocks as the J,just a bit of useless info :)

Kev,you'll need the 1000J1/J2 clocks, the electronic speedo drive and also a 1000J1/J2 wiring loom.
As i've mentioned before the electronic speedo drive wasn't the most reliable and was dropped after a year or so.
The cheapest option would be to get some J1 clocks and also run a push bike speedo for M.O.T. purposes and actual speed measurement. Then you've got the appearance of the clocks without the extra cost of the wiring loom and electronic speedo drive.
If you're half decent with electrics you could just add the extra wiring needed for the electronic speedo drive to your existing loom.

Having the oil lines running under the motor probably allows better access for working on the cylinder head, etc.
No doubt manufacturing costs are one of the reasons that road bike lines run over the top of the motor, shorter and cheaper!!
The 3 spoke wheels are Dymags.I have a feeling that the '82 works Lawson racers ran Dymag wheels, whereas the earlier bikes used Morris mags.

The block panels on the tank, tail and h/lamp fairing should be blue.As for the green Volkswagen Apple Green is a very close match for the factory Kawasaki green.
I contacted Ted Sinigie?? in Holland who's ELR was featured in Streetfighters and in Two Wheels Only.He sent me a colour code for the green but all that info was lost when the PC crashed.
I think he can be contacted via the Green Team via the German 1000R website, check out the links.
I've seen the Volkswagen Apple Green and it's what i will be using to spray my Lawson,as it's a very good colur match and is readily available.
