I do remember that GPz900R calipers both straight on to Z1000A2 forks without and mods whatsoever.
I did this swap on my Martin Zed many years ago and the improvement was very noticeable.

What are the hole centres? I used ZX9R forks and Suzuki GSXR 4 pot calipers bolted straight on and I can make my eyeballs fall out on hard braking ( the 6 pots go on as well but are meant to be not as good)
Not saying the zx9r forks are same spacing, but you never know

You'll struggle due to the how close the discs are to the spokes on the wheels. I have AP calipers on my GPz and their is a spacer behind the discs to give the clearance. In an earlier version of my ELR i had old style AP twin piston calipers originally intended for rear brake use. These did clear the spokes and gave plenty of brake performance. Neither were straight swaps
