Here is some ELR info I dug up from Kwak in Japan (I told you I was stubbon)

As a model, Z1000R-1 of 82 sales year(900 unit productions)
R-2 of /83 year sales (5300 unit productions)
Z1100R of /84 year sales (1300 unit productions) 3 models

So there you have it, an 82 Z1000R would be the one to get or an 84 1100R

Ohlins are the best but also the most expensive apart from the original Showa and Kayaba 1000R and 1100R which are how much expensive!!!!!!
I'm surprised that more 1100R's weren't made as they were in production for 3 years.
It would be interesting to see how many 1000R2's and 1100R1's K.M.U.K. brought into the U.K.??
Surely they most have sold green 1100's than white 1000's!!

Rich he might be a BIG chap,at one stage when i was putting the Foale together i thought about doing something like this with the spare fairing and seat i've got on the GPZ but the riding postions Ideal for me as it is

Standard Z1000J1/J2 and Z1000(K)LTD clocks as fitted to 1981/1982 models.The Z1000J3 has a combined speedo and tacho console.
