Replacement stator

#1 PostAuthor: Vendetta761 » Mon Aug 26, 2013 8:08 pm

Anyone got any recommendations for where to get a replacement stator for a Z 1000 ST ?
when Ferret was rewiring my "Olive" he said the generator stator was burnt out [ looked it too] so we swapped the one off my Ebay buy madmax Z. Now this engine has been rebuilt I asked Royston to sort a new stator out but it went by the by and now I am about to plop the engine in the new frame and start the rebuild proper I wanted to ensure this was sorted right.
Where is best to get a new stator from, Z power, Z1 enterprises, A.J .Sutton or just a fleabay pattern part ?
All ideas welcome!

mmm, think z power it is then as the genuine item looks to cost more than I hope to sell my spare ST for!
Thanks for the tip, onwards and road wards, I can still plop the frame over the engine this week and then order the part to fit later, may put a delay on Mr Dorans Marzocchis though....

I fitted a zxr400 one from ebay.

Same as z1000st but sell for a lot less.

have to change over the rubber seal from your old one .

if you look at the link above and go to bike models all the models with the same windings are listed.
