As most of this topic was wiped out with the meltdown I thought I would add the images without any text to complete the thread.

Hiya Steve

I am gutted that your Z1 rebuild thread got melted down.

Those few pictures are a small consolation - but I actually loved hearing about the detail and searching that was going on to allow it all to come together.

You are a great inspiration and have been really helpful with ideas and tools to use etc. I'm just sorry newer members cannot see the full details.

Please say the bikes will be seen out on the road and not hidden away

Best wishes from Mark

p.s. is there are photobucket album with it all in - I woulds love to have a trawl through that lot!

Jay 1969 thanks very much for posting these pics for me.
After a somewhat extended interlude both of these bikes are now running and on the road.
73 Bike was registered with an L plate after being sent away by the DVLA at the first attempt to get an NOVA number,if anyone on here requires written proof that you do not need a NOVA number to register a bike from outside the EU please PM me.The bike is all standard, is running on points and its as sweet as a nut.
The 75 bike I've owned since 1993 and restored it about 4 years ago.It runs with Dyna S ignition,Dyna coils and a Stan Stephens gas flowed head which all in all adds to a crisper running bike.Engine rebuild by Ray Debben.
A big thanks to Mike Hunnisett for coming down and commissioning the 2 bikes for me and for the engine and carb work on the 73 bike, all first class work.
The 75 bike is pretty unique as it shares the same engine and frame number which I have had confirmed with a dating letter from Kawasaki records in Japan.
Regards
Steve

Pleasure Steve, haven't heard Stan Stephens mentioned
since the late 1980's !! His 2-stroke expansion chamber pipe's were
all the rage back then weren't they.
Had one on my 125 RG Gamma with suitable other
tuning on the bike to get the mph needle bending at the 100mph mark

Super job on both bikes Steve.

Hope you will get some use out of one or both of them this summer now they are all sorted out.

Riding prospects are much finer this year than the 2012 summer wash out we had.

Steve,
Take my hat off to you you've done a fantastic resto on both bikes. It was great to getaway from my projects for a day and get a few running :D
