I've haven't got started yet but I've been collecting stuff for a couple of years to put together a nice special.
Now, I don't know if it's worth going ahead or whether I should put it all on ebay. Will I be able to get it registered? Seems it's getting near impossible to get a bike on the road. And if I can, can I get an age related plate?
Does anyone have any facts they would like to share?

easiest way is to have a frame with a V5 - if you have that its pretty easy - otherwise I suspect a Q plate will beckon.....

As its made of bits, and if you've got no v5 then you could be going down the Motorcycle Single Vehicle Approval route. You may be able to get a dating cert from kawasaki and try registering it that way.

Easiest way is to get another frame with v5, or did you know the old reg number ?

Very good Mark :). No it's a 74 frame which I was told had been registered but actually has no record so I guess it's from the US. The rest is aprilla, ZrX and big swing arm stuff picked up in the UK.
Got a matching engine for it so would be a pain to find another frame.
So if I went ahead, it would be possible but I would probably have to have a Q plate?
Do you need to supply VAT receipts for all the parts?

Dating letter from Kawasaki is only obtainable if the number and frame match their records in Japan and are shown to have been assembled on the same day.
