Not heard of it done and seeing as you have all the bits, I recon your probably best placed to answer the queston.

Would be interested if it can be done but modern engines tend to be a little smaller than the the older stuff.

Anyone put a Zephyr engine in a Z1000?

Now this has got me thinking.....

How about a Zephyr 750 engine in a Z9...they are definitely the best looking Zephyr engine and should fit nicely.......

Yet another project for the future

The 750 zephyr engine fits in the Z650 so does the swing arm and complete front end, I did toy with the idea of building a Z650 with zephyr running gear but there seems to be less 750 zephyrs about than Z650's so future rarity value stopped me. :D

My Roadracer project is a z9 motor in a 750 zeph frame so chunking one in an 1100 chassis should be easy.

Ah now this is the info I wanted to hear, I was a bit wary whether it would fit, to me the zeph 11 engine looks bigger than my Z1000. It's gonna be a while before I do it but I'll let you guys know how I get on with it, thanks to all the replies, $tevie.
