Seal part number

#1 PostAuthor: Al » Sun Jun 30, 2013 9:35 pm

Looking for the part number for the seal on the bottom of the handling reservoir please. Mine has worn at the internal diameter.
Also who does the handling pumps and is the one available through the club.

Any help appreciated.

Fitted new forks to the J which turned out to be straight (thanks Padders) but they caused the throttle valves to jam wide open particularly on long sweeping bends leading to near catastrophic failure of the handling reservoir rear lower seal.
Thanks for the offers via pm to prise apart the hemispheres, ream out the old seal, drive home a new one and pump the system back up to pressure,... i may have to go that route but for now it seems to have tightened back up OK.

Do you mean "Steering Damper" ???

I'd rather be riding my Z1 thinking about God than sitting in a church thinking about my Z1..

Been out in the garage and the bike has a flat front tyre so it was a puncture.
Thanks for all the useful suggestions and offers.

Zorded you are usually so precise in your descriptions and technical expertise. What went wrong this time....
I'm still trying to work out the terms "Handling Reservoir" and "Handling Pump".
I don't think you are talking about steering damper!
I don't think it's brakes!
I don't think you are talking about front forks... Perhaps, maybe some internals of the J front forks? Would appreciate an explanation slow time.
