I previously asked for help regarding No1 not firing. After some good help i replaced inlet rubbers & lapped in valves.
After, all 4 fired up but a bit smoky.compression good at 150.Checked vacuum.2,3,4 balance great.but 1 off the top of the scale & won't adjust. When i checked vacuum tube it had a lot if oil in it.
As i had not ridden the bike since replacing valve seals i didn't use another new gasket.
After checking all again the following day i notice No1 has dropped to 120.
could the gasket be leaking between the bore & an oil way? would this also course the high vacuum?
Thanks for any help

After taking off the carbs & static balancing them the problem seems to have improved
the vacuum on all 4 are about the same but a bit hight.[36]
but at least all are now on the scale
still a bit smokey but not as bad.
I think the problem is that with a high vacuum it can suck a little oil past the seals.
Will have another tinker to see if i can get vacuum down in the 20s.Which i hope will stop the smokeing
