Depends on the width of your wheel.
More harm than good with over-tyring ?? a narrow rim

Does anyone know the answer to this question as I will be having my wheels built up this week hopefully. I will have a 3.5 rim on the back and thinking about either 150 or 160 tyre ?

Most I got without offset front sprocket with safe clearance was a 140x18, on a JMC monoshock conversion
swinger that was designed to fit standard wheel and swingarm pivot for '76 z900
So assuming the Metmachex is same width points all round to standard z900,
you'd be safe with a 140...
But most you could go is 180mm with 5/8th offset front sprocket (from Debbens / Z-Power)
with a modded swinger.

3.5" rim width is fine for a 140/70 x 18 rear tyre.
You might get a 150 on there :??
Pointless over-tyreing ?? a rim as you usually get less contact patch with the tyre and often affects handing.

Wheels I had front and rear were CMA 3 spoke cast ally made to order rims
and were 4" wide on the rear, with the 140mm, forgot to add
For a 180 width, not that you want one, but just for reference: 5.5" rim.
