A few pictures of the Z1B I bought from Malc Anderson last year. It's an unrestored 8000 mile import from Mid-Ohio. The St Magnus Cathedral in the background was founded in 1137. The good looking chap in the pictures is my daughter's boyfriend, not me!
Great looking bike. the pics remind me, of me as teenager yearning after one and thinking one day...... as a sat on one in Doncaster Kawi centre and rode home on my M***D!

Leslie - whos on the bike -? (sorry just read your post again) bike is looking great. those long dark winter nights in orkney, well done
How does she run compared to the z1 ?, is your z1 an ealry number, it may have the heavy flywheels and feel quite a bit different
Anyone care to share knowledge on the non documented changes to the crank flywheels ?
Ray - I've been having a lot of problems with the carbs. Mike Hunnisett has had a couple of goes at them, but it was still running very rough. So I popped the carbs from my '72 onto her and now she is running really smooth, so Mike is going to have another look at the carbs. My '72 has an October build date so I guess it will have the heavy flywheel.
The photo locations were down to my daughter Rachel, Malcolm. Did I see somewhere that you were having trouble with your Z1B?
