I got it off my friend, who reliably informed me that although it had been last taxed in 2001, it would run fine once I put the new piston in it and rebuilt the top end. What about the lack of brake fluid, oh just put some in and it will be fine was the reply!
Being a bit fussy and even worse bored I set about stripping it down and what a bag of laughs it was - not!
A rebore, new crank, powervalves, tyres, brake pads and a lot more later, it is finally on the road. Although it is in the process of having the idle jets replaced as it only runs on choke at low revs at the moment.
It was painted by the talented Mr Crack, who as ever did a fantastic job and the exhaust pipes were handbuilt by Kenny at TSA in Evesham in a small shed.
