z1000 fuel tap

Hi all
I have a problem with the fuel tap on my 1977 z1000, in the three years I have owned it the tap has always been difficult to operate,now its almost impossible,i had to use pliers to switch the fuel on yesterday the tap was that stiff,does anybody out there have any ideas how I can sort this out.

Replace it with a Pingle and you won't have anymore worries . :)

Take it apart,clean it out,renew rubber seals.
You can buy boxs of rubber O rings ,cheaper than "repair kit".
