Circlip Pliers

#1 PostAuthor: bollypne » Thu May 30, 2013 8:42 am

Quick one. I need a circlip plier suitable for the circlip at the master cylinder (z900a4). I have a pair of pliers with interchangeable heads but these don't fit. Not long or narrow enough.

Anyone suggest the type/make/model I need.

Cheers

Z1bman, how about a pic?
The one's I've seen in Kawasaki workshop manuals are longer than the "Facom" that has been suggested.

Thanks for the pic Z1bman, looks sturdy enough to do the job.
The trouble is usually getting around the end of the piston bobbin to engage in the circlip holes. I believe it is one of the hardest circlips to undo!
Did this pair of circlip pliers have a spring where the two holes are?

The one I saw in the workshop manual had two pivot points , a little like a pantograph tool. I'll see if I can scan a pic of it.

these genuine pliers make easy work of removing the master cylinder cir clip also good for removing the cir clip from the drive shaft on kawasaki's + yes they did used to have a spring fitted but it does not affect the removal of cir clips

The Laser ones are good, I picked up mine from a boot sale.
