Front mudguard for '77 Z1000 drag bike
As well as trying to keep my Z900 on the road I am also in the process of building a 1977 Z1000 drag bike / streetfighter. I am running the original forks, although these have been shortened and the frame raked, the front wheel is a 17" Akront rimmed spoked version. I would like to use the existing front mudguard fixings but the reduced dia. wheel means that an original mudguard, for 19" wheel, does not look too good!. Any ideas of a bike from this era that run a smaller front wheel (pref. 17") whose mudguard I could canibalise, or a company that may be able to offer or produce one whether this is a steel / chrome or fibreglass version?
If it's too loud....too bad.
