standard engine with standard carbs has k&n filters plus harris with comp baffle. the main jets are 150 neddle set in middle seating only seems to rev up when choke pulled out then revs shoot up any ideas
ps have had the carbs apart and cleaned out all jets with carb cleaner and air line
should have said sorry these carbs were setting in my shed and were cleaned out before fitting to the bike

What's different?
Have you changed anything since the bike last ran correctly?
Has it been standing for an extended period?
If nothing has been changed and the bike has been standing, my money is on the carbs being gummed up or rusty fuel blocking the jets and making it run very lean. (Using the choke will restrict the amount of air going through the carbs and compensate for the lean mixture to a degree but it wont rev out freely)
Try that and see how you get on

I had the same and stripped the carbs again and put a wire from a wire brush down the jets, solved the problem, I did blow them with an air line prior to this.
