z750 twin tracker

I got this for about £300 a couple of years ago as I fancied a cheap old bike to tinker with when time allowed. It had been stood for 6 years or so but I got it running fairly easily and then gradually stripped, rebuilt, replaced pretty much everything except for the engine. It had already been messed about with cosmetically but it had a powdercoated frame and had been stored properly so no gummed up carbs, seized bolts, etc. It's about 99% complete for now, everything including paint (still needs a polish) was done in my dark and dingey garage on a budget of f all. Still got a few jobs to do (seat unit to fit and paint for one) but essentially she's done and just needs tax/mot. Hopefully she's as fun to ride as she looks and I will make it to some shows and meets this year. Cheers all..

Cheers Al, took me time but almost have an old zed again. Tough call, I love the simplicity of this, the character and torque of the ST and the speed and good looks of the 9r. I'll see how I get on with this when its on the road, if its hard work then it'll go along with the tl to make way for a ST framed project that i have been acquiring parts for. For now I hope to get out and ride, last year came and went, I barely got out on a bike at all. Maybe I'll finally make it to a sprint or track day eh?

My old Trumpet needs a brick too - turned on its side tho' When I go to fill it up it's best to wedge the sidestand against the side of the pump so I can get it at least 3/4 full

You can't put the brick under the seat - it'll be classed as an offensive weapon nowadays

Through my neighbours window, if i put a note on it he know's who to return it to.
