Yes jimmock, ive got 3 dafs, a95 an85, and a little 45. We have allways had dafs, 1900, s 2100, s 2500, s,, had a 3300 space cab...sold it for export about 10 years ago,,, wish I hadnt now,, they fetch a fortune on the vintage scene. Best one ive had was a 1995 Daf 95 430 ati,
That was a superb truck,,, 1.6 million km, s on the clock, on original clutch and brake drums,
We hardly touched it in the years we had it. A guy in the congo has it now,, loves it, even had pictures sent,, and its still in our coluors!

Had a 2800 a 3300 twin steer and a 95 space cab twin steer.

The 1160 was bullet proof.

If I was buying another wagon it would be a DAF.

Served my time with Inter City Transport as a lorry mechanic.
They were THE biggest DAF operator in the UK in the 80's / 90's.

We put a DAF 2800 DKSE up against a Scania P112m for a year.
The winner dictated the future fleet.
We thus ran DAF's.

I Always wanted a 3600 Space Cab twin steer, but there were only about SIX registered in the UK!!!!
Most of the 3600's were Space Cabs but only 2 axle, where as a lot of 3300 twin steers were Space Cabs.

Almost bought a Space Cab twin steer in Aberdeen from the now defunct Tom Shanks, but when I got to his yard it was only a 2800, no good!!

I love DAF's. :luv
