Thanx for the kind comments chaps

As it nears completion, I'm starting to get nervous
Just a bit more wiring to finish off then I can try the motor out. Also need to bleed the rear brake as it was bone dry and needs a bit more fettling to get all the air out.
Its got a 1978 Z1R lump and has be sat idle for several years - probably just a standard motor?. I do NOT know how it runs (if at all) but I've had the sump off to clean the oil pump gauze (not too mucky) and also set the valve clearances (which were pretty good - just a couple needed doing). The compression seems real good so hopefully she'll be okay
Another point which can only be checked on the hoof - the rear shock was rebuilt and due to that JMC (still not sure about it) I had to get a beefier spring - which may prove a bit stiff???? I've lost a couple of stone since the build started too. One good thing is a new spring is only £35.
The kickstart is pretty useless as it hits the rearsets, so it
will need a decent battery
As for registering it,
that will be a laff
But there is a temporary "PLAN B" - I'll run her on a spare Z900 V5 which came with the project

And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
