Just wanted to give a big shout for Hel Performance, I rang them at 10 past 1 yesterday lunch time with my brake line sizes and fitted them when I got home from work tonight. Kin brilliant service. I stood back looked at the J and thought...Shit....I'm an hour's work away from riding this sucker.....Holy doodoo :D :(

I am told CV carbs dont like pod filters which might be your rev problem. Apparently they need the standard airbox to balance airflow etc. Carb change might be in order to Keihin CV or Mikuni RS. On CR Keihins it is a matter of adjusting the air screws to get revs to drop and rise as they should.

Thanks guys, I'm going to try putting the carbs back through the ultrasonic and double check everthing before I resort to more spending, they ran perfectly well on the old J motor for twenty years as they are so unless there is a major difference that I am missing between the J and GPZ unitrac motors then I thought it should at least run reasonably on them. Who are the best people for a dynojet kit? I run one on my CBX which came from M&P and that runs great but I couldn't find a kit listed on their site. If all else fails, CR's here I come (but for #### sake don't tell the wife! )

Hi Phil

Cracking bike mate.

The unitrac motor has bigger cams, bigger valves, and a squish band head so they may need some tweaking to correct the differences.

cheers

Thanks for that, I know that a small difference can make for a massive result but I assume there would be a difference between tweaking and dangerous to ride, I have a gut feeling it's carb related but at the moment it fall's into the later.

P.s. Blue is cool isn't it, Boooootiful
