Check the two wires and make sure you have connected the green to and black wires to the right set of coils.
as per z1bmans comments
.the left hand coil is for spark plugs no 1+4 + has 1 black+ 1 yellow wire. the right coil is is for no 2+3 spark plugs + has 1 green + 1 yellow wire

If it ran last year its unlikely to be a timing issue, more likely that the cables became disconnected when refitting the tank etc.



Chief is always right. Spark plugs were not right (1-3 and 2-4)

Now bike starts well. I did ride just for few hundreds meters (not yet insured). It seems to be fine although a bit shaking in acceleration. I need to fine tune carbs. Anyhow I booked one day next week with a professional mechanic for final check and fine tuning.
