csr switchgear
Hi Guys, I'm looking for csr1000 switchgear, left and right. I've already asked what switchgear would be compatible in another post in Bike Help under "switchgear compatibility CSR 1000" so if you think you may have some that will fit mine, and you would like to sell them to me, the link Adrian H gave me shows what will. thanks to all replies in advance. $tevie. PS... my email address has been hacked into so I cannot receive replies for the moment through my hotmail, only to this site.

I have a NOS left switchgear spare.
The trouble is they are a lot of money and although I don't need it now I have another suggestion for you.
I bought some ZXR switchgear for my project. Plenty available at reasonable prices via eBay and plenty of options too.

any switch gear can be made to work.
when i bought my Z1R it has GSXR switchgear on it.
I ended up buying z900/z1000 replica switchgear to get a more original look.
With a few connector blocks from vehicle wiring products and a few hours with a multimeter i now have plug and play switchgear into the loom.
if you're not fussy about originality then anything you like off ebay will do or replica z900/z1000 switches new for £55 a pair.

I bought the bike as a runner, but thats all. No lights, indicators, nothing. I've since discovered the switchgear plugs are OK, just the carcases are broken or cracked. so I could, I suppose just get carcases and fit all the wiring from mine into them. The rest of the wiring is a right mess. I've already bought and received a loom from the States. The guy who had it before me just stuck on Z900/Z1000 clocks but gave me the originals. think I want to keep the Z clocks on it, look much nicer. when I say just stuck them on I mean bolted them on with nothing wired up. My plan is to get everything up and running first, like the idiot lights etc, then chop and change as I like. I find it easier to do that way. I know its the long way round things but it suits me doing it that way. So I'm also looking for all the wiring for the clocks etclondon calling wrote:Hi Stevie, does your CSR have the lights on permanently being a U.S. model ??

Yae I've seen these replicas, they're not for a CSR though. I would rather keep the switchgear as original as poss.chrisu wrote:any switch gear can be made to work.
