Got the bike back from the tuners. He told me he did not know how it was running. I had put the wrong timing ATU on with the totally wrong advance on (god knows how I ended up with it in the first place). He was also unable to run the bike on the dyno as the alternator magnets had fallen off causing the bike to vibrate, but he did manage to get the carb's sorted so few small jobs and it will ready for the spring (not the spring sale steve  )

A photo may do as I have a decent "J" motor laying around and wondered what the arrangement is : as there ain't a lower rear mounting point on the J-motor :?:

Love the bike- the swingarm is very similar to a JMC deep braced one I have just bought for an LC Hybrid. Those wheels in the background look like f2 ypvs ones. Oh love the 650 aswell. Cheers Nick.

well spotted. the wheels are off an LC125 I got for my son, but it has taken so long to get my finger out he passed his test and now runs a z440 ltd and the LC is still not done  ( the engine mount uses the the sump exhaust mounts)

Found the problem

replaced it, but now the starter clutch is slipping so back off again, thinking about changing the pipe too.
