Keys

#1 PostAuthor: 1GOM » Thu Aug 09, 2007 9:34 am

I'd be greatful for some advice please. Does anyone know if I can still get copies of the original key. I've only just got my Z1A and it only has a single key. It's a kawasaki key which looks to me like it's of unknown parentage. It's numbered in the high 900s and is a mix plastic and metal

Thanks

you should be able to get a replica key at your local key cutters although mine had to send awayfor it .
I got it a week later and it cost eight quid but it did fit first time and i now use it instead of the Kawa item . good luck with that :D

Hi 1GOM,
I TRIED THESE http://www.johnnysvintagemotorcycle.com/ AND THEN CLICK ON KAWASAKI KEYS .THEY LIST PROPER KAWASAKI KEYS BUT THE ONE NUMBER KEY THEY DONT DO IS MINE ( 752). I HAVE A Z1A AND ONLY ONE KEY AND COULD DO WITH ANOTHER, THE ONLY OTHER WAY TO KEEP A ORIGINAL LOOKING KEY IS TO BUY A NEW IGN/SEAT/STEERING LOCK SET,

I bought two blanks from Beeezees (751 and 752) about a month ago and got one cut at the local keysmith. Works perfectly.

I e-mailed bernie at beezeees last week and he rung me yesterday afternoon. he said he had a blank key exactly like the original (with the number on it aswell) so he sent me it and it arrived this morning, (less than 24hrs to arrive),just got to get it cut but thats no problem. cost me ?17.34 for key. he sent it and just told me to send him a cheque. Still going to get one from http://www.johnnysvintagemotorcycle.com/ when they get back in touch. they all seem to be the same price. will let you know what its like from them.
